About Me

When I was growing up, my  mom always had a camera in her hand.  Every birthday party, vacation, and family gathering included my mom taking pictures. The company she worked for could always count on her to document (whether they liked it or not!) their events. In fact, when she retired from that company, she gave them boxes full of photographs from the years she had worked there. And although not everyone liked their picture being taken over the years, they sure loved seeing all the memories pile up.  

 

Because of my mom, I have a lot of memories attached to childhood photographs. I learned to be comfortable in front of -- and now behind -- the camera. I find myself following in my mom's footsteps - documenting events, family gatherings, vacations. 

 

I love capturing the moment... the feeling... the joy... the solitude...real life. It's always there. Sometimes we just need to pause for a moment so we can see it.

For many, self esteem is low and the goal of chasing after false beauty is high. I want to be used as an instrument to capture what God has created because all of His creation is beautiful. All are precious in His sight.
